The Ghana National Fire Service has warned us to be wary of fire outbreaks during this harmattan season.
According to information received by dailyseers, a fire that broke out near Frimps Oil in Fiapre has destroyed many shops as well as some fuel and diesel tanks.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the fire, which started around 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, could have spread to the nearby Gas Station if it hadn’t been for the intervention of service personnel.
“If we had received the call earlier, the fire would not have spread as far as it did,” one Fire Officer added.
According to stories, the major cause of the fire was a we.ed smoker who walked to the bush to fulfill himself, then left a piece of the material behind and it caught fire.
The Ghana National Fire Service has yet to issue an explanation for this incident, and further investigations are underway to determine the true cause.
